Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Kitiz collects, how it is used, and what controls you have. It applies to the Kitiz mobile application and related website pages.

Data we collect

Account and profile data: user identifier, login metadata, locale and app preferences.

Gameplay data: progression, collection state, inventory, balances, onboarding state, and gameplay events required to run the game.

Chat data: messages you send to Kitiz, model responses, proactive chat events, and conversation summaries used to keep context between sessions.

Technical and diagnostics data: app version, device type, crash/error logs, and performance telemetry.

Optional product analytics data: after you accept analytics, Kitiz records normalized gameplay events, screen and session metadata, app/build version, language, progression stage, and purchase or advertising result codes through Firebase Analytics and BigQuery. Kitiz does not send chat messages, chat summaries, nicknames, email addresses, push tokens, raw error messages, or other text you enter to Firebase Analytics or BigQuery.

Purchase and subscription data: transaction identifiers and product identifiers provided by store and monetization providers.

Advertising and consent data: consent choices, ad availability, impressions, interactions, and rewarded-ad validation. Kitiz blocks Android AAID access, never requests iOS IDFA access, and uses only child-directed, under-age, non-personalized ads rated for general audiences.

Notifications data: push token and notification delivery metadata.

How we use data

We use data to provide and operate Kitiz, including:

• running core gameplay and saving progress;
• generating and delivering Kitiz chat features;
• sending gameplay-related notifications if enabled;
• processing purchases and restoring entitlements;
• measuring reliability, fixing bugs, and improving product quality;
• protecting the service against abuse, fraud, and technical misuse.

Service providers

We use third-party providers to run Kitiz infrastructure and features, including:

• Supabase (backend, database, authentication, storage, and server functions);
• OpenAI (chat generation, moderation, and summarization features);
• RevenueCat and app stores (purchase processing and entitlement state);
• OneSignal and Expo Push Service (push notification registration and delivery);
• Google Firebase Crashlytics (crash and diagnostic reporting);
• Google Firebase Analytics and BigQuery (optional product analytics after consent);
• Google Mobile Ads and UMP (minor-safe non-personalized advertising and aggregate ad measurement).

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors and vendors that help us deliver Kitiz, and only for the purposes described in this policy.

Data retention

We keep data as long as needed to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary by data type and operational need.

Detailed Firebase Analytics and BigQuery product-event data is retained for no more than 24 months. Anonymous aggregate analytics may be retained for up to five years. Operational account, gameplay, purchase, fraud-prevention, and chat data follows the retention needed for the service and applicable legal obligations.

Your controls

You can request account deletion using the dedicated page at https://kitiz.app/delete-account/. You can also contact us for privacy questions or data requests.

Analytics is opt-in. If you decline or later withdraw consent, Firebase Analytics collection is disabled and its local analytics identifier is reset. You can change this choice at any time with the Usage analytics switch in the app's Menu. Advertising always uses the minor-safe profile: no personalized ads, ATT, IDFA, or AAID. Kitiz still keeps the Supabase records required to run the game and prove transactions.

International transfers

Kitiz providers may process data in countries different from your own. We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the services we use.

We may update this policy when the service changes. The version published at this URL is the current version.
